Vantiv Integrated Payments Launches Vantiv Integrated Payments Developer Network Program
Online Community and Resource Center Speeds Point-of-Sale and Payments Integration
Durango Colo. – Feb. 4, 2014 – Mercury Payment Systems, LLC, an award-winning provider of payment technology and services for small to mid-sized businesses (SMBs), today introduced the Mercury Developer Network, a broad technical resource program for POS developers who want to connect with a community of peers in building commerce solutions into their systems.
Mercury works with more than 500 independent software vendors that create software applications tailored for specific business requirements of SMB merchants. Mercury provides a fast and simple way to embed its technology into their software so that it comes pre-integrated in the merchant’s point-of-sale system. Mercury works closely with developers, providing technical guidance, and also helping them promote and sell these integrated-point-of-sale solutions (IPOS) by offering the following integration toolkits:
- MercuryPay Integration Suite – Toolkit and APIs for payment processing of the most common payment types
- Mercury Gift® Integration – Toolkit and APIs for stored-value gift card payment processing
Developers using the Mercury Developer Network web portal will have access to technical resources like sample code, conversations with Mercury’s technical team and other developers, as well as technical guidance and best practice information from Mercury leaders.
“We saw a need in the POS developer market to create a one-stop shop for our partners to have access to collaboration tools and thought leadership, while still holding on to personalized customer service and technical support 24/7,” said John Berkley, senior vice president of product, Mercury. “This is one of the many services that differentiates Mercury in supporting the integration process.”
Access to the Mercury Developer Network includes:
- API documentation
- Complete code projects hosted on GitHub
- Information on vertical implementations
- Guides for meeting system requirements
- Educational blogs
- Community participation and solution resolution on StackOverflow
- Peer-to-Peer Support from Mercury integration analysts
- Invitations to industry executive briefings
- Participation at Mercury user group meetings
“By providing our developers with direct access to POS analysts and technology experts through an online community, we believe we are helping speed up integration times and helping the Mercury Network build differentiated IPOS solutions,” Berkley said.
