MERCURY PAYMENT SYSTEMS EXTENDS "STAND-IN" AUTHORIZATION TO DIAL PROCESSING
All Mercury Merchants Can Rely On Continuous Credit Card Processing
Durango, CO —September 2, 2008 —Integrated payments processor, Mercury Payment Systems, today released a new dial “stand-in” authorization platform. It is an enhancement to MercuryStand-In™, originally launched in April 2004 for IP processing merchants. The service guarantees uninterrupted credit card transactions in the event of an authorization network outage for merchants processing payments with Mercury.
If an outage occurs, Mercury turns on Stand-In and approves all credit transactions within the merchant’s floor limit. In addition to allowing merchants to continue to accept credit cards, Mercury also takes responsibility for every approved credit transaction during a stand-in event and guarantees no financial loss to merchants.
