Nebraska Furniture Mart, in Conjuction with See's Candies®, Leverages New Payments Solution from NBE Solutions and Mercury Payment Systems at Berkshire Hathaway Shareholder's Conference

Partnership Offers A High-Tech Solution For Old-Fashioned Candy Sales

Durango, CO—May 12, 2008—How did Nebraska Furniture Mart, the largest home furnishing store in North America, seek to increase See's Famous Old Time Candies® sales revenue by 50 percent in one day? They used an integrated high-speed payment processing solution from NBE Solutions and Mercury Payment Systems. The processing milestone occurred at the annual Berkshire Hathaway shareholder's meeting May 3, in Omaha, Nebraska.

During the meeting, Nebraska Furniture Mart, a subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway, used 12 Sam4s electronic cash registers and NoLoad IPTrans™ provided by NBE Solutions and Mercury. The NoLoad IPTran for Mercury™ features plug and play ready, high-speed payment processing integrated to the registers NBE Solutions' president, Bob Gobber, installed.

Nebraska Furniture Mart sought NBE Solutions' help to replace their previous electronic calculators with a faster, more accurate payments solution. Located near the meeting venue, NBE Solutions rented a customized, digital system featuring Sam4s electronic cash registers with NoLoad IPTrans™ for integrated processing by Mercury Payment Systems.
