Mercury recognized for outstanding dealer and developer support and 157 percent three-year revenue growth
Durango, Colo. – Sept. 4, 2013 – Mercury Payment Systems was awarded three top industry awards at the Retail Solutions Provider Association’s (RSPA) RetailNOW 2013 convention and expo recently, and was named to Inc. magazine’s seventh annual Inc. 500|5000 listing, the company announced today.
The Inc. 500|5000 list is an exclusive ranking of the nation’s fastest-growing private companies and the most comprehensive look at the most important segment of the economy—independent entrepreneurs. In a stagnant economic environment, the median growth rate of 2013 companies named to the list is an impressive 142 percent. Mercury’s revenue grew 157 percent between 2007 and 2012.
“Being named to Inc.’s 500 | 5000 list is an important benchmark for many types of businesses across all industries,” said Matt Taylor, CEO of Mercury. “It’s an honor to be recognized as one of the fastest growing companies in the nation by such a respected publication. We’re on the right track to continued growth within the payments industry.”
At the recent RetailNOW 2013 convention and expo, Mercury was recognized as one of the payments’ industries leading companies, receiving:
- The RSPA 2013 Gold Medallion Award in the Vendor of Excellence Awards for the fourth consecutive year,
- the induction of Jeff and Marc Katz into the RSPA Hall of Fame, and
- recognition as the industry’s “Best Electronic Payments/Financing Processor” for the fifth consecutive year.
“I am absolutely ecstatic that Mercury took home the gold again at RSPA,” said Matt Taylor, CEO of Mercury. “The Gold Medallion award is selected through a voting process by all RSPA members and represents the industry’s vote on its best vendor. This is a testament to the focus we have on and dedication to the developer and dealer channel. There isn’t a single competitor out there who remains 100 percent loyal to the channel, and our partners awarded us for that with this award.”
